I'm sorry. Life is kinda hectic. I'm not even sure anyone reads this blog anymore???

Being in school for homeopathy, working, kids and hubby pretty much takes up a lot of my spare time ;) lol School is amazing, but wowsers it is a lot of work!

Life is good. We are well, happy and loving 2012 so far! Hope everyone is well in blog land too!

I love summer...actually I love every season but I do really love summer!

Its hot lately, so we've in and out of the pool and a/c and at soccer (yes even in the 49 celcius heat yesterday) and back into the pool!

Almost cottage time :)

Weighed in this week, down another 2.3 so that total down is 24.1 which now puts me under the 180lb mark! I haven't been that since Ryerson days!

As much as I LOVE this weather I can't wait for this .....
oh yeah baby almost 5months away ;) hahahaha

Hey still here! Just in the summer swing of things, which means chaos usually! lol All fun though! The pic of the sandals is from the cottage last year....can't wait... soon!!!!

Life has been good, but busy. Weight loss is still going. I'm down 23lbs (unofficial weigh in)

Today was day 68 of weight watchers and I'm still loving it! It is easy. You just have to be in the right mind frame for it! We even went to Niagara on the Lake yesterday wine tasting/touring! We biked to the winery's so that we could get lots of exercis
e in!

I made a list of things that have helped me in this journey.

This is a lifestyle choice. The habits I'm doing now have to be able to last me the rest of my life.
I eat everything I want, just much smaller portions sometimes. Moderation is the key. I love McDonalds BigMac (gross I know but I do) and once a month I still have one, just with a side salad now! I love chocolate, I have some .... but little bit, not a whole bar.
Drink water. I drink LOTS of water (less booze) still have my drinks, but a lot lot lot less lol
I eat 5 to 7 servings of veg and fruit a day. This is huge and new to me. I eat a rainbow colour variety too!
EAT BREAKFAST. This doesn't mean Starbucks liquid breaky. This is huge. I eat protein, a good carb (whole wheat) and fruit every morning.
Slow down and enjoy the food. I savour it. Even when I'm in a hurry. I'll eat less that way.
Watch my sodium. When I feel bloated I know my sodium levels are out of whack. I don't add sodium into my diet much (never have) but eliminating a lot of processed food has taken more sodium out!
Cut the fat. I trim ALL visible fat off my meat these days AND I weigh my meat. Heck I had no clue what 3 oz of any meat looked like before! lol

The pic below is from several weeks ago. Believe it or not I look different still. Crazy how this process is going. haha that tree I'm standing in front of has been gone for THREE weeks, guess the pic is older then I thought! lol

Still here, its busy but I'm around!

WW news, I met my first BIG goal!!!! I've dropped 10% of body weight! I'm now at 20.5 lbs down! I got my ww key chain and every thing! lol I'm just entering week 9 on this program today is day 58 (yep I track it). I'm still loving it. I never feel deprived ... I eat what I want (with in reasonable portion sizes) and honest to god it works.

BEST part is .... dropping 20lbs I NOW see it on me. I feel so much better. I look better, more energy and I can shop in all stores. Most size 12s are now fitting, with exception of a few that are 14s. Yesterday I went into JACOB and shopped for the first time ever. This is huge to me! Why? Because two years ago a rather bitchy hockey mother, told me while we were in the store (at a tourney) Jenny they don't have YOUR size here. I bawled when I left. I got over that, but I never forgot it. I actually told the sales girl that helped me get a couple of shirts (in size MEDIUM ...stick that hockey mom) and she was almost crying and gave me a big hug. I told her not to cry. It was all good. That mom was absolutely right. They didn't have my size in there before, HOWEVER she could have kept her mouth shut! I'm willing to bet, she doesn't even remember it.

Things I'm doing differently over the past 58days:

Eating proper portions sizes
Eating less processed
Eating at home MORE (less out although I've figured out some good tips for that too)
Moving lots
EATING BREAKY every day
Drinking tons of water
Drinking less booze
Being mindful when I'm eating
Eating a rainbow of coloured foods
Eating less fatty things junk

The eating out part, well I still eat out. Our lifestyle is often on the run and we have holidays ect, but I'm picky. Subway, there is about 3 or 4 of their 6inch subs on the menu that if you order with whole wheat only cost you 7 pts (add one pt for cheese) and I get 29pts a day! Harvey's has the best pt value burgers and they're good. 7pts for an original hamburger on whole wheat and side salad is 1pt plus dressing. McDonald's has the spicy Thai salad. If we have to go there, that is normally what I get, it ends up being around 10pts. What about other places? I order, always with a salad and I take have it home. I make sure I eat the salad first too!

My next goal is to drop another 10% of my body weight, so that will be around 18lbs (yes you can figure out what I weigh :0 lol) Wish me luck!

So the long weekend has come and gone. July is here! I'm sitting on the deck in the shade, doing some homework and typing this blog post! lol

We had a great weekend. The kids went to Green Acres with Tim's parents for the weekend (still there now actually) and we had most of the weekend to ourselves. We managed to get a lot done here. Underneath of the deck got stained/water sealed, some shopping (clothes for me), golf, visit with friends, saw the kids too and we CLEANED out the dinning room and kitchen. I watched hoarders on Saturday night and that was enough. Next morning I was up at 8am and cleaning by 8:30 lol we managed to get 6 bags out of that area for the good will and two to garbage. Just shit we do not use.

I also dug out my bride dress. Tried it on. It was too big for me now. No joke. I'm smaller then I was when I got married. In better shape too. So we took a few pics and I decided to give it away. I loved that dress, but its taking up room and I will never wear it again or be able too! Its going to fall off soon enough! I'm hoping by donating it that someone else can get joy out of it!

We went to Great Wolf Lodge this weekend (few pics coming) Well guess it was thurs/friday. My wonderful Aunt Marjorie scored us a pkg deal that we couldn't turn up! What a blast! thanks Marjorie!!!!!

I even managed to loose 1/2 pd while going away! yay me!
I haven't been this weight since my wedding day! No joke. Pre kid weight again, oh yeah!

We had a great father's day here! Tim, my dad, my grandfather and Tim's dad came over! We were also celebrating Alex's 12th bday and my grandfather's bday!

Unfortunately Alex is ill. This happened Friday. I should have trusted myself and my abilities. I am training as a Homeopathic Doc, but do I doubt myself... yes. Anyway, I figured it was viral and today it was confirmed it was by my Naturopathic Doc. He is doing better. Tomorrow will be even better.

Seems that I have hit a sensitive note with someone out there. I received an email chewing me out about how Weight Watchers didn't work for them and it won't work for me! LOL I love it.

Okay listen.

Yes I'm pretty pro WW but it has its down falls too. You can totally play the game with it. My question is, why would you? First, your paying min of $60 bucks to have the program, PER MONTH, secondly, its your health?

I have ladies that I go with to my meetings and they tell me all the ways I can cheat. I don't want to cheat. I want a lifestyle change. You know what I had a butter tart the other night. Am I guilty??? NOOOOOO, I just had to count my extra points. Big deal.

I will admit that my first few weigh ins I ate nothing prior to it that morning and that is STUPID because Thursdays is a work out cardio day for me! I would be starving by 10:40am when the meeting got out. I always had a banana with me, but it just doesn't cut it. I'd get home and be shaking trying to make something to eat! Now, I have an egg scrambled with tomato and herbs on the side, about a 1/2 cup of coffee (that is all I normally drink of my morning coffee) and I take a yogurt and banana with me for after the weigh in!

I'm also lucky to have the support of my family. Tim is 110% on board and he has actually to date taken off 10lbs and he isn't on the program officially (yes that does drive me nuts but I'm so happy for him too!) and the boys are both on board to help me succeed as well! Having support is huge. Its motivation to cook, not eat out, to just keep going and to get up and move!

I really feel bad that WW didn't work for this person that emailed me. I get it. I really do. Week three I followed that program to the letter, didn't cheat, didn't dip into my extra points (the only week to do that) and you know what???? I lost ZERO lbs. No joke. lol Now, most weeks I go a little bit into my extra points. I want to enjoy life, not be miserable.

Things are changing though. I don't think about food as much. I'm seeing it as a what will fuel me up better. My attitude and relationship with food is changing. Now is that WW? Maybe, maybe not. I don't know.

I just know the program is working for me (and remember this is my second shot at it, the other time was pre marriage many years ago).

One person reads my blog still! LOL Thanks Sue... and thanks for being my cheer leader on this adventure!

So we tried a new recipe tonight. I generally eat what every one else eats but once in a while I like to sneak in more veg, less carbs, less fat.

Now we had Ribs tonight... yeah fatty, but I had 4 which was my 8pts. BBQ'd asparagus =0 pts and then double baked potatoes = 2pts. How does that do two points? Its not potatoes its stuffed but cauliflower. It was actually really good! We saw it on the Healthy Gourmet on the Oprah Network.

One kid loved them, one not so much, but he isn't a big cauliflower lover!

Below is the recipe! Give it a whirl!

On a side note, we now have potatoes all ready to go for tomorrow nights mashed potatoes!

Double Baked "Potatoes"

From:Fencers
Healthy Gourmet

Double Baked "Potatoes"

(potato flesh will be scooped out and replaced with cauliflower)

INGREDIENTS:

Skins of 4 Russet Potatoes
2 Heads of Cauliflower
1/3 Cup Chopped Scallions
2 Teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup frugal cheese (light cheese we used skim mozza)
1/3 parmasean cheese

Directions:

Bake 4 russet potatoes for 45 minutes at 350 degrees in aluminum foil, until tender enough to remove flesh
Chop up 2 heads of cauliflower and steam until soft and tender (about 20 minutes)
Place steamed cauliflower in food processor and combine with scallions, black pepper and salt, mix until smooth
Scoop out the flesh of potatoes and store flesh in the fridge or freezer for later use
Scoop cauliflower mix into potato skins and top with frugal and Parmesan cheese
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees

So I don't figure many check this blog anymore, but if you do the next bit will probably be on weight loss. It seems to be my new focus.

I decided with a nudge from a friend(who did well on the program) to join Weight Watchers. You see I work out already. Four times a week actually, sometimes more. Obviously the equation for me is eating too much. Or eating the wrong things.

I lost about 10lbs joining the gym, but between Christmas and our Jamaica vacation I found them and about about another 5lbs!!!! YIKES! When I got on the scale at WW I was 203.4 Yes you read that right. Over the 200 lb mark. I'm 5'2 and half, so I'm pretty short. I love when I tell people what my weight was and they go I would have NEVER guessed that! Really? I knew it was high. All I had to do was look at a photo of me and I can tell! lol

Whatever, its not going to be that again.

I've been at 4 weeks and I'm down a total 13.3 lbs. (yay me) So I"m at 190.1 which is funny because I tried WW years ago and I was 189.6 when I started then! I'm close to that start weight! lol

I've passed my 10lb goal drop and I'm heading to my 20lb goal. I'll be there in 2-3 weeks. I feel better already with only 13lbs off.

I haven't set a goal weight yet. I know that my healthy BMI would be between 104 and 140 for my height. Meaning 141 is over weight? Crazy. I'm thinking in between those two numbers.
Here is the thing. I'm studying to become a Homeopathy Doc, so I know what to do and where I really should be (and yes its a lower number then most would expect and no its not 104 lol thats funny) but I needed the accountability of getting on that dam scale every week and the point system is easy to use.

Yes I've tried the WW in the past years ago, when you had to count all carbs/pr/fruit/veg/milk ect and it was a PITA (pain in the arse) and I wasn't into it. This time is different. My head is into it. I'm ready to be healthier and smaller. I have to. I want to live and see my children grow, marry, have kids or whatever! I want to feel good all the time. 13lbs...I lifted 12lbs at the gym the other day and couldn't believe that was on my body. Crazy. Its still coming off too!

Long post with LOTS of pics!!!!

In January we decided to do something that we haven't done before! We took the kids somewhere tropical? Why? Well, Alex is not playing rep hockey this year (therefore saving us a money this winter) and my school isn't too bad yet. In a few years I will be spending every other weekend in Toronto!

The kids had NEVER flown before, so that was an adventure first! They loved it! We flew out of Toronto :)
We went to the Breezes Trelawny in Jamaica!

In our room! We got a cottage room! Smart plan. The main towers of the hotel were more dated then these. The hotel is about 37 years old. Elevators were smelly and didn't really work! This was near both main pools and beach! Perfect location!

The main buffet! Breakfast was amazing here! Eggs made to order, I had omelets and smoothies! Lunch was pasta bars and ceasar salads or sandwiches made to order! Fantastic! Supper was a little boring here after awhile, but they had other restaurants open then!

On the Lumious Lagoon boat tour! WAS FABULOUS they took us to the lagoon near Falmouth and it has phosphorus in it! Once it was dark, you would see all movement in the water show up in green! Was the coolest thing we ever did! Yes we swam in it!

We spent all of our time here! Our cottage was off to the left!

cheers and yes I had my nails done ... in purple! Matched my bathing suit!

The flight home was a bit longer with an emergency landing in Orlando. Some light came on in the cabin! Opps! Everything was fine, took much longer, the kids didn't care!

We are missing the 29 plus humid-ex, so 39 Celsius weather!

WOW hard to believe yet another year has gone by.

As I reflect back a year it has been a year of fullness!

Success was my word for 2010 and it was successful! My business has grown, I got back into school to become a Homeopathic Physician! My kids are doing fabulous! Tim is still loving his job. We both are on track to become healthier. I've managed to ditch some very negative people, professionally and personally in my life! It has been "success" for me. Everyone in my immediate life has been healthy and happy. Life is good. Successful and good!

This years word for 2011 is FOCUS. Why? Because I need to have more focus on school. I need to get through it. I need to focus on the details of life and enjoy them.

I wish everyone that stops by here (not sure if people really do anymore lol) a very happy new year! I wish you that 2011 and is the best year of life yet!

Well today was 8 days till Christmas!!!

I'm currently in Ottawa! I flew out with Tim, he had meetings and I had airmiles! It has been fantastic out here! We leave tomorrow which is good too! As much as I love traveling (and I really do) I miss my kids.

I have managed to take a daily December pic every day so far! I'm actually going to scrapbook my daily December album this year !WOHOOO

I'll go to walmart and print off my pics after xmas.

Loving Toronto. Remember how much I miss living down here. The boys and Tim came to visit last night and today. I think Alex went down that waterslide 100times! lol They stayed here for the day while I went to class.

Last night, last day tomorrow. It has been an amazing experience and I'm pumped to continue. I have met some FABULOUS people and I'm in touch with a few of them. :) Just a great experience. I"m going to definitely come down again for study week this winter. Now I just gotta figure out when/how lol and tell Tim ;)

Being here has inspired me again to keep going. I love homeopathy.

Today we drove over to where Aunt Sandra lives. She actually lives in a farm house that is in Mountsberg conservation area. Very cool!!! Thanks for hosting us Sandra and Brian (and Gavin) we had a blast!

We went out to the Bison fields on a tractor ride, we walked the sugar bush trail, went by the lake and had our own Raptor show. Kinda cool when your aunt works there (eh boys)!!!

I love fall. I always have... always will.

I feel so grateful right now. Completely happy, completely living in the moment, which hasn't been an easy thing considering I have in class schooling coming up for my degree. But I am loving life.

We went to Nauman's Pumpkin Patch the other weekend. Alex actually wanted to go to the corn maze, so we jumped at that! Come on ...he is 11 and well you know how it goes! The corn maze was CRAZY HARD, all of us ended up skipping out of it after
we were in it for hour and 20mins! lol

Last year Ben attended karate summer camp. He briefly said he wanted to do that, but then I said no hockey. Karate costs as much as hockey does and its two nights a week. Last year Ben stayed in hockey. This summer when he asked, I said means no hockey.... he said FINE WITH ME. lol

Someone had his first Karate lesson at the dojo on Monday night! He loved it! Tonight he was back and he showed us some moves he is learning towards his Yellow (i think thats the right colour) Belt!!!

Happy Wednesday and I hope it is a good day for you!

Its been a few weeks of adjusting around here. Alex is in the senior public school and Ben is back at the other school. The schools start at 45mins apart and end 35mins apart. Not a big deal, just new routines.

Tim and I have also joined the gym. We're there about 5 to 6 days a week. Both of us are adjusting to that as well (I go at 6am blah lol) but its been good. I'm seeing results and I feel fantastic! I never thought the day would come where I MISS going to the gym! But it has! I've also over worked my shoulder and had to scale back for a week. Lovely. Lessons learned I suppose!

School. I'm gearing up for an in class week mid October. I'm terrified. Really.

Today is my reflexology day with Kate (love you kate lol) and then study time.

Today marks our 13th anniversary!

Thank you for the past wonderful 13 years Tim. I know they haven't been all perfect, but then again neither are we. I have realized over the past few days that I love you more now then ever before. Thank you for all your love and support! You are the best. I am truly blessed.

Yesterday was the 8 year anniversary of my BIL's passing. We still miss you Mike!

Always will.

I was lucky enough though to spend the day with Tim and Alex (ben was at a buddys house all day) and my inlaws! Tim played in his annual ball tourney! They won their division championship too!

Today we have Ruth's funeral. Another hard one to get through, but we will.

I'll be glad when its evening. Just need to get through till supper time.

Last post July 23rd???

Wowsers.
Well I've missed my dad's bday, my aunties, mine and Benny's 8th bday!!!!
I've also missed our holidays, which I have a few pics, but wrecked my camera (yes my good one) while gone. Now apparently its fixed. Lets see, had some interesting sports politics/drama go on. Found out my sons best friend is moving and oh the neighbour lady just passed away (God speed Ruth).

It has been a whirlwind month.
I'm over it and I'm ready for September. Actually it could skip September and go to October. That would be better! lol
School has been slow for me (lack of commitment lately) but the things I've handed in have been all A's, so I'm happy with that!

ah life is good. I'm alive and breathing, my children have both parents, we have friends, house and love each other. Really compared to what my neighbours are going through.... my life is amazing!

So whats been up for you guys this summer? Anyone still read this???

ahhhh loving summer time! Yes I've actually been taking pictures but I haven't loaded any up yet!

Tim and I did our annual Niagara-on-the-lake bike trip! We drive down and bike around to different wineries! Fun time! I think we end up biking off all the calories we drink lol okay they don't give you that much at wine tasting! It was fun.

The kids have gone camping with Tim's parents to the Pinery.

We've been to the beach already...had a picnic!

Jays game...

So we drove to see the Toronto Blue Jays play last night! With the G20 summit going on we decided to subway down from Yorkdale, probably a good call. I could not believe the police downtown. Felt like for every two or three people there was one cop and afterwards was more!!!

The boys had a great time at the game. We were 9rows back from 1st base area. Fantastic seats!

Just had my phone there, but here is a pic of the evening! lol

They even opened the dome as we got there! Was a beautiful night in Toronto!

computer hard drive GONE on our main computer and no back up since november. Yes I'm pissy... yes i've lost pictures, finance info, articles I've wrote to blog on ABL. Luckily all school work is on my laptop. I've lost email contacts, all kinds of stuff.

but it teaches me that we need to have an external hard drive. I'll be making a Walmart trip to purchase one. ugh

So after a few years of Alex playing Rep ball he decided for another change .... Rep soccer!!! He made the team a few months back and now soccer is in high gear! Last night they got their butts whooped but it was a good game. Best I've seen him play!

Benny is still playing ball hockey and loving it! He's improved so much! So proud of him!

I know this past year I have completely laid off the blogging. I think I needed a break. BUT as I read back through the previous years the other day I realized that this blog is a much for me as it is for my readers. Its about memories. Hockey, soccer, ball, school, my life, tims and the kids. Yes it is for you guys too, but it is more selfish and for me.

I felt I needed a break. Honestly even with the camera. All the following pics are from my blackberry! LOL I barely took out my rebel and you know what that is okay. Also blogging over on A Balanced Life Style blog and going back to school has kinda sucked up a lot of my time, but still no excuse not to keep up with my life on here!

Life has been moving 80miles a min in the Metzger household but we wouldn't have it any other way. We love our life.

So in a brief cell phone pic run down. Here has been the past year!

In the fall aunt Sandra and Ben rescued a kitten named pumpkin (in uncle mike's honour) It is adorable, but I swear it has satan like qualities to it. Ben loves it. Ben loves all animals and wants to work with animals when he grows up. Or be an inventor. Tough call ;)

Life wouldn't be the same without my timmies! Although I'm unsure where those gloves are because I seem to have lost them. (hint for any fam members readying this on what I could use when you ask! LOL)

Of course I'm still getting friday flowers most weeks! This was a special week...he gave me purple roses! One of my favs!

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a tour through Waterloo Park to see all the lights!

We had several hockey tournaments in December! This was from Silver Stick in the Niagara region. The boys did great making it to the semis!
The siblings all wore the opposite jersey for a game. I felt bad for them, those things STINK!
As the boys kept winning the moms kept promising things. This time we told them if they won we would get the coaches to wear bras. Coach Cory and coach Kevin did!!!

News Years Eve was eventful ....we drove 6 hours to Ottawa to catch a sens game. It was the boys first NHL game and the loved it!!!

um yes I got caught up in the moment in Tiffany's ;) lolthis was my purchase.

Tiny plane we took! LOL It had two seats per side and about 12 rows. Had a bathroom, stewardess and really was a smooth ride. Jump and go commuter plane! Loved it!

This pic is from when were waiting for the dude to come give us the condo keys. It was thursday and they had 6dollar watermelon martinis! We took advantage of that price! lol

Spring hockey

Spring hockey has started and Alex is not playing as a goalie!!! He decided he wanted to play out! So far he has 2 goals from the first game and the last game he got a HAT TRICK! Way to go buddy!!!!

Ball hockey starts for Ben next week. Tim's ball starts shortly and my field hockey oh and Alex made the rep soccer team. Yeah life is never ever boring here!!!

Already April!!!

So much happening in our lives! Ben is starting ball hockey, Alex made the rep soccer team (yes that means no baseball for him this summer), he is also playing 3 on 3, Tim's ball starts soon and my field hockey in two weeks. Oh yeah and some where in there I work and study for school too! LOL Its all good!

I'm counting down the days to NYC with my girlfriends! Ten of us are heading down! Can't wait! should be a BLAST! We are celebrating Tammy's 40th, but really it is just an excuse to get away! ;) LOL Mid may... so a little over a month and 1/2 !!!!

Has consumed my life at this point. blah.

Lots happening. Including a loss of a very great woman in our community. She was my nurse at the doctors office for years. As far back as I remember she worked with the three doctors I deal with. She gave my kids their needles, weighed them as babies, dealt with them when they were sick. Such a wonderful loving lady. Yvonne Martin died in Haiti in the earth quake. We truly are missing an angel on earth. So incredibly sad.

God speed Yvonne, you will be missed.

2010 or Twenty - Ten as some are calling it!!!

Ours started fantastic!!! We drove to Ottawa yesterday to see a Sens game last night! Both boys could not believe they were there, but especially Alex!! Its his fav NHL team!!! We drove home today yes short trip, but we had a family dinner to attend!! It was pretty cool to bring in the New Year in Ottawa!!

I have a feeling its going to be a FANTASTIC year!!!

Its thanksgiving weekend and its time for family to come over! We're also celebrating my grandmother's 80th birthday! Sweet! Looking forward to family (both sides) here tomorrow for supper! Tonight Tim and I had a nice break from routine. Alex is at a buddies house for a sleepover and Ben went to the farm (mainly for pumpkin, but hey aunt Sandra and Grandma and Grandpa too) lol So we went out for supper and did some Christmas shopping! I'm decorated for Halloween! I kid you not! I figured I had time the other saturday night why not!!!! I even have purple mini lights on my banister!!! hehe

Today so does not feel like fall, its hot and humid out. Fall is one of my fav seasons I hope we have a super long fall!!! (it makes hockey driving better too) To me Fall represents fresh starts. I know to most January does, but I really think fall does that for me. Its like summer is over, school starts and its a time to start over! I think January is more a time to review what directions you want to go in with your life?

Alex made the Major Atom A team this year :) We're on the road quite a bit with him. Ben is finding out his team this week and we know who is coaches are. He's in Novice LL which means travel, but only to Paris, St.George, Wellsely, Ayr ect... Tim is going to be a trainer on his team this year too!

I know. I completely SUCK at updating lately. I used to post so regularly it wasn't funny, now not so much. Why? Life is busy and facebook and twitter seem to have taken over!

Lots going on....

I know have a Grade 2 and Grade 5 (ohhh and they're fun lol)

School is going awesome for both boys!
Tim and I celebrated 12 years of marriage!!! (we went to a jays game thanks to our wonderful neighbours VIP tickets!!!)
Hockey tryouts have started!
Work is good, busy and I'm still working on a business plan with my g/f Shannon for an exciting new venture.
Warm temps with no rain are finally here!!!! LOL

going on these days!

Tim and celebrated 12 years of marriage on Sunday! I can't believe its 12!!! I love him more now then ever :-) We went to a Jays game! hehe Our awesome neighbours gave us VIP seats so we took the kids and went! They loved that waitress would bring them skittles to their seats, but um yeah mom had to pay that bill ;) LOL

First day of school happened! Both kids seem very happy with their classes and teachers! Always good when everyone comes home happy on the first day of school!!!

Hockey tryouts are going on right now. Always stressful time for the kids and the parents! lol

Life is good though, can't complain.... just busy as ever!

Opening preseason game for the OHL's Kitchener Rangers! We decided to go, since it was reduce ticket prices today and all ticket money went to the Children's Wish Foundation! Great game! Physical game!!! They won 7-1.

I'm so bad at updating here. I love twitter and facebook these days because its easier to update!

Lots of stuff happening. We had cottage, bdays, trip to Niagara on the Lake (just tim and I biking around and wine tasting...perfect day) and so many new things on the horizon!!!

Happy Birthday to me! Its almost 11:30 and at midnight, I'm officially 36. Well not till about 4:30am is it official I guess (sorry mom) lol!!!

This year has been fantastic in so many ways. New friends, old friends, my business expanding, a new business venture on the horizon! Starting to exercise again! My kids growing up into wonderful boys! Traveling more! Life is good. :)

I came home this afternoon to flowers in the kitchen and bathroom. I love that! Bunches of Glads. One of my fav flowers! Thanks boys!

Tomorrow we celebrate with family because in my family the august birthdays are on 5,7, 9,11. No joke!!! Its a party week!

on vacation! We're at the cottage again!

I just wanted to pop in and wish my Auntie and my Dad a very happy bday!!! I love you both!!! They are part of the August birthday crew in our family!!! hehe We celebrate all month long!!!

This is how we started the trip to Ottawa! We rented a car...got an upgrade to a Jeep Patriot! WOOT!

no worries. Ben did not drink both of those drinks. He ordered a shirley temple and hated it as I knew he would. So I had ordered waters too ;) Smart thinking!

at the canal. There was a boat coming through a few locks back, so we stayed and watched!
At the Scotia Bank Place, where the Ottawa Sentors play! That is Alex's fav hockey team. It was kinda cool. I had been talking with one of the marketing guys from the Sens and asked if they did tours, he said no we never give them, but I do it for Alex. So off we went to see Barry and he gave us a complete tour and then gave alex about 300 bucks in stuff afterwards! Jersery, flag, all kinds of stuff! The kid was over the moon. He announced on the way home that it was the best day of his life so far. Then he added the best day of his life will be going back to see the Sens play! LOL He's not dumb is he ;)

Can't find the camera cord yet again. Dang thing! Ball, holidays, birthdays all making our life crazy busy! The weather has been interesting at the best and its made summer fly by because we haven't really HAD summer yet. Working on a new blog/site with my new business partner and friend Shannon. Life is crazy good but crazy busy!

I'll find the cord tonight... lol really!

Mini get away

We're in Ottawa right now! Tim had business here, so the boys and I came up with him! Great time so far, considering I'm on my own all day (and prob most of the evening) with them! We came up yesterday and go home tomorrow. So short but sweet visit! Nice to relax and recharge! I love that!!!

We just came in from Sugar Mountain (yeah alex's fav spot at the moment) and we're off to the pool!

I am taking a LOT of pictures but of course forgot my camera cord to upload any. Hey at least I remembered the camera. ;)
