Field trip....

For Ben's class!!!! A whole bunch of 4 and 5 year olds!!!!! INSANE, but a lot of fun! :) Its always fun to be able to take part in the boys school trips! This was no different. We got to go through a haunted forest, room, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn maze (mind you the corn didn't grow that tall this year...lol) and an apple orchard. They also learned how pumpkins grow. That was an experience!

Got my hair cut and Ben was trying to take pics ;-) We've played checkers, go fish (diego style) and Uno so far today!
Yeah he missed the hair cut LOL thats okay! I'll post one soon!

Ben has watched some tv (with Tasha too hehe) and I go to do some reading for my course...finally!!!

More exciting news for me :)

I was asked to be part of the Guest dt (design team) on the Goscrapping team for the month of December!!!! Very exciting!!!! You can check out Karen's Go Scrapping site here. :) She runs amazing retreats, both day and weekend! I'll be posting links again as my stuff goes up in the gallery!!! I have some of my work there right now too!!! If your a scrapbooker, don't forget to check out the message board area!!!!

New car

Well new to us!!! We got an opportunity to purchase a 2001 Kia Rios! We've been talking about switching to another small compact car for awhile. Many reasons, the price was right on this one, low km's on it, we wanted a smaller car for better gas millage (save the environment and us dollars!!!) and this is the time to do it. When our boys are small ;)

Who knew our small Elentra would look big!!! LOL I'm soooo happy :)

Ben had today off with me...and tomorrow ;) Ah the joys of all day everyother day. Today we went to the Youngs to visit Mitchell and Spencer :) Lots of fun, then we came home and just chilled out .... of course he's been a superhero all day too ;)

However its amazing how a special treat will perk anyone up! ;)

Fall...

is finally here! Well at least for the next few days. lol never know with this crazy weather.

Yesterday was blog action day in regards to the environment. On my sidebar I have a link to a green blog called Living Green. If you go to www.blogger.com the homepage it gives about 15 to 20 links to green sites!

To me it means living simply. Driving smaller cars, walking more, composting, recycle, planting more trees, looking into better energy sources, changing the light bulbs. Some of this stuff we've already done and some we are looking into. Our pool has solar heating, we've changed all the light bulbs in our house. We have low flow shower heads installed and we recycle and compost (okay tim does all the composting), but we still need to try harder. One of the areas for me personally is my scrapbooking. Yep its a huge paper industry. So I'm try to use up my stuff and make sure I recycle anything else.

Google "green blogs" see what comes up. Who knows you may stumble upon a great site!!!

Today Aunt Sandra came to visit for the afternoon and we took her public skating ;) She did AWESOME! Her and I could skate a little faster then Ben ;) hehe He's coming along with his skating too! Thanks for coming up Sandra! The kids loved it!!!!!

Firetruck ride and lots more...

The senior kindies from ben's school got to ride on the old fashion firetruck this week! What a blast! The kids then got to tour the firehall and learn some fire prevention. Fun stuff for 5 year olds! They had a blast!


Today was Alex's first game of the season. They won 2-1!!!! Way to go redwings! We spent our morning either at Ben's game or Alex's!!! Ben is still in the learning skills stages, but he is improving!!!



Then it was off to Monster Machines. One of our local churches puts this on for the kids every year. And every year its FREEZING by this day! lol They had a blast. I'll post more pics tomorrow!

I'm still here! Just busy. Work, my school and hockey :)

Alex has his first hockey game this Saturday! So if you read my blog, live near us and want to know where and when, just email me :)

The pool is almost 1/2 full. Too bad the weather changed now! Last weekend we could have used it!!! Oh well. We'll winterize it and it will be ready for next year!

I'm off to workout. fun fun :)

Its mainly up :) A huge thanks to Mike and Joe for helping today and to HUGE, HUGE thanks to my hubby!!!! You guys did it! We still have the railing to go around the top of the pool and to fill it and winterize it...but its up :) YAY For as long as I can remember I've always wanted a pool! To say that I'm thrilled is an understatement! Thanks tim :)

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!! So much to be thankful for!!! My family, friends, work, home, ....everything! I am truly blessed :) I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful thanksgiving Monday :)

So today we went to hockey (yep again...thank god I love hockey! lol) for Alex. Its an extra ice time that friends of ours got a hold of. Alex loves it. We only go when their other goalie can't. More practice for dude...its all good. Tim is out working on the pool in this icky humidity. Strange weather for here in October. My air conditioner has been on a lot lately and normally its never on past September.

I'm getting ready for our families to come over for thanksgiving dinner tonight!


Ben is napping and Alex is doing homework :)

Weekend

Well its been mainly a hockey weekend ;) Last night was road hockey at the Leaners and today both boy had hockey this morning and then more skating this afternoon and now off to the Atom rep game tonight...of course then we'll have to come home to watch the Leafs vs Habs game on tv!!!!!

Tim is still working on the pool and he has a chatty little builder with him ;) Very cute and funny!!!! Ben the builder :)

fall

its that season.....
I love fall...LOVE IT!!! Today I actually managed to go for a walk after lunch and it was just sooooo amazing! All the leaves turning colours, the smells of fall!!!!

Okay enough fun chat ;) I'm off for a killer workout! lol

brave boy....

Ben got two needles today! His four and five year old shots. The one really stings, but he didn't cry. Mainly because daddy went in with him ;) And so did one of his little stuffed webkinz! No more needles till grade 8!!! wohooo

That was the good experience at the doctors office, the bad.... 8 bloody months I have to wait to get in for my physical!!!! WTH??? Seriously, I'm so sick of hearing how freaking wonderful the Canadian health system is. Its not. I mean come on a four month waiting list to get an MRI???? Yes there are pluses to having it, but also a lot of minuses!!!

There is my tuesday rant ;)

Off to treat clients! hmmmm I know remember another reason why I chose the natural health field ;) By the way the face reflexology course is going well :)
