these are pics from Tim's work picnic this past weekend! The boys had a blast, even in the pouring rain!

I'm packing. Tim and I are off to Montreal for the weekend. My parents are moving in here with the boys :) We need the get away for many reasons, but its our 10 year anniversary coming up!!!

And to my local friends that read my blog, I'm thinking of you guys. We lost a friend this past week, Ryan. He died in a car crash. RIP Ryan.

Tuesday

Alex's first day of hockey camp went well! He seemed to really enjoy it! Ben missed him, but he'll get into the groove too :)

My dad seems to be doing better too. I'm off to see him now actually :) He is home, but I'm still really upset with his specialist.


Ah and a picture of things to come in the next few weeks ;) hehe so excited!!!!!

Today

Took dad back into the hospital and I wasn't overly impressed with his doctor. They did a procedure that should have required some freezing to an area and they didn't give him any. Dick heads. Seriously. I don't want to go into here, but it just pisses me off. Enough that the next time I'm into our family doctor, I'm mentioning it. Not that it will do anything. But shit.

Anyway, while we were waiting for dad, we went to see Mo and Ben :) My ben decided these mega block eyes were funny :) hehe they were! Mo snapped a pic!!!! Thanks dear!!!!

Friday

I packed the kids up and we headed to the Busker's in the city Friday afternoon :) It was kids afternoon there, so the Busker's were more "kid friendly" LOL and they had rides there too :) Of course my guys played the mini golf and did a couple of rides!


Then we watched a few of the Busker's acts. Magic Brianwas hillarious!

We had ice cream and off course made many trips into the "thunderstorm area" It was a misting tent to walk through. Very cool idea! Literally cool!!!! lol Afterwards, we met Tim over at Boston Pizza :)

This weekend has been really busy. Saturday we went to a work bbq, today to a ball appreciation (for the coaches and spouses). Tomorrow Alex starts hockey camp. 7am till 4pm!!! I'll be back with updates tomorrow :)

Busy...

We've been busy around here. Trying on hockey equipment, going shopping for more hockey equipment. Planning school lunches.

My guys have to do the "balanced day", so the have two lunch breaks. They do 120mins of learning, 40 off (20 play/20 eat) 120 learning, 40min off, 120 learning again. However try explain that to my 5 year old that he shouldn't eat everything in his lunch pail!!!! Thank god for those ziplock containers. We'll label one #1 and the #2 for his lunch breaks. Crossing fingers that this works. Last night we sat down and brainstormed over two pages of lunch ideas to keep us going for a while.

This is also my first year of having Ben go full days. He'll go every other day. :( I know it will be great, but I'm going to bawl letting him go.

I'm still waiting to hear when dad has to go back to the hospital. Yesterday he looked great!!! His normal colour is already returning! He went for a walk yesterday!!!

My dad is back. He had some extremely large kidney stones happening. Painful. They've broke them up and he still has a stent in him. I take him back next week so they can take it out.

Harder

Today is harder then I thought it would be. Mainly because Alex clued in that uncle Mike is gone and started to bawl again. We miss ya Mikey.

Insane first day back to work! BUSY!!! Which is good, but no time to catch up. I promise to post pics tomorrow! Today the kids have been on the computer a lot anyway. Ben got a new webkinz from Tegan and Cade for his birthday and Alex went out a bought a new cat one! So its been all about the Webkinz!

Tomorrow is a mellow day. I have a few play dates showing for the boys. Tomorrow marks 5 years of Mike (Tim's brother) being gone. Always a tough day for us. Hard to believe its been that long and in the same sense it feels like longer. I've been really emotional lately and till about 5 hours ago I honestly forgot what August 21st was. Then it was the "oh yeah" moment. I'm hoping to take Alex and Ben up to his grave to put some flowers there. We'll see how the day goes. We miss ya Mikey.

We're BACK!!!!

We finally home after what seemed like the "forever" drive from hell on the 401 OMG!!!! Traffic from Belleville to Toronto was backed up! Anyway, we're back, pics to follow tonight/tomorrow. Kids are just eating a really late supper and off to bed. Laundry to do and stuff to put away :) The kids played amazing today, but lost again :( However, we had a team this year that only had 4 kids from last years ball team. That meant 8 brand new never played ball before players! They had an awesome time and played their hearts out. Thats what counts!

Good games...

Well our team played the best it has all year! Which is good since we're at provincials, but we still lost both games. Some great plays, but just not enough. We play two games again tomorrow, possibly three.

Off to the pool with 14 kids and a bunch of siblings!!!!!!

Well I'm in Belleville. Traffic was HORRIBLE through Toronto, but we made it! I forgot my camera cord, so no pics for a few days, but I"ll update you on Alex's ball scores. I hope mom and dad are enjoying the a/c at our place and the pool :) They moved in so Tasha wouldn't freak out (the cat). She's been a wee bit annoyed with us being gone so much!!!

Sleep overs

So Alex has his first buddy here for a sleep over. OMG I thought girls giggled and talked! At any rate I think they went to sleep around midnight (i did..lol) and they woke up at 7am. OY Lots of fun. Thomas is a great kid though, so it has been fun!

So yesterday started rather stressful for me, but it seemed to turn around. Just lots of issues going on right now from money to my parents. It really hit me the other day that as my parents age, there is no one to share the burdens with. No one to share the frustrations, no one to share the emotions with. Yes I have great family and wonderful friends (thank god for that), but the bottom line is this is the one time is sucks to be an only child. Ah reality hitting in is always fun. No worries though we'll be all okay.

On a very positive front, I was invited to take part in a "wellness fair" from RBC in town! Awesome opportunity for my business! Thanks Heather for the lead!

Okay, I'm off to deal with breaky with these three! Funny how I babysat for years and was use to a bunch of kids in my house, but these days.... I'm only use to having two children and one more to the mix is like ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhg lol

Since we were having a huge cake the next day, I decided that the kids really didn't need one for his party. Most only licked the icing off the mini cupcakes anyways! LOL So we had a cheater cake ;)

A lot of hot air going on those cakes ;) Myself, Ben, Auntie Marj and my dad :) We all celebrate birthdays in August! 5,7,9,11 for dates! Pretty cool, eh?

My dad's tests were completed with the procedure yesterday. Now we'll wait and see. Next week we're back at the hospital so he can get his kidney stone blasted. Its over 1cm in diameter, so its past the point of alternative medicine helping. Once its blasted, he'll still have to pass the pieces. Thats where I know I can help him with reflexology and sending him to some other modalities in alternative medicine. Thanks for all the emails and the postings yesterday. I do have some wonderful friends.

The fun things of being an only child. :( Your parents become your sole responsibility especially when you mom doesn't drive. Today I take my dad into the hospital for a relatively common procedure. Next week I take back for a different one. Its stressful for me. Send some prayers, light whatever you do today please.

Ben's party went well! Few little friends, swimming, baseball, hockey! It was a lot of fun! Then Sunday we had my family in for my bday, my dad's, my aunts and ben's! Thanks so much everyone for coming!!! Richard and Eily and their boys came down too and my guys loved that! Thanks guys;)

Today started interesting, my first appointment had canceled on me, but my girlfriend (steph) took me out for a birthday breaky and that was fun!!! Thanks Steph ;)

Surprise!

Well for those that check in!!! SURPRISE!!! I found an internet cafe (very cool friends like little coffee shop) in Kincardane and decided to log on for a 1/2 hour! We're loving our holiday! The cottage is great!!!! Thanks Susan and Blair for renting it to us! I'd post pics, but I had to actually use the internet cafe computer, Tim couldn't get the laptop to connect here? Who knows. Anyway, having a fab time, weather is great! Yesterday we had a bit of rain, but it was soooo humid it was a welcomed site! See everyone soon :)

Exhausted...

wowsers long day! Lost both ball games. Played at 9am and it was 14-13 so close!!!! Then we drove back from Stratford, had teammates in for a swim and back to the ball diamond for 4pm. That game was brutal. 21-1 slotterfest can you say???

Baseball last night was hot, but good. Ben made some new friends there (which is always nice) and Alex had a great game. Caught the ball on a fly out twice at second base! Awesome job little dude!

Today is my last day of clients till next saturday. :) I'm taking some holidays. I'll also be taking a break from the blog from sunday till friday. No worries I'll be back and actually posting pics! lol I just need a wee break ya know? No computer for a few days. No emails, no webkinz, nothing. Just some good r & r .... :)

I'll be back tomorrow though with pics from alex's baseball tourney!!!!!
