Changes...

Thank you so much to Tamarra and Jake :) We got some new furniture...well new to us! So things are looking different downstairs. I also moved the Ikea chair upstairs (the couch that matches is up there anyway!)

So here is the rough start. Lots to sort, declutter and move around. I've already sent 4 bags to the good will from this room. Toys, books, videos ect. Feels good to declutter. I'll take more pics when I'm done. We're actually making the toy are behind the couch, so we can actually utilize the fireplace! There is a concept ;) lol

Great days....

So what started out yesterday as a completely sucky day, turned into a fabulous one. My friend Heather came over and took me out for lunch :) Thanks Heather! She also got me thinking LONG term about my business. What I want, where I want to go and that I need this down on paper. I'm going to be expanding my horizons again and taking another course 100%. The face/massage head reflexology course. I'm working towards full body reflexology ! You can check out face reflexology on the UK site, by clicking here. I'm pretty excited!

Then the afternoon was great too, playing over at Tegan and Cades! Meeting Rachel/Ryan and Katelyn again and then Tracey and Chase and miss Laney showed too! My kids love it there! LOL Thanks Steph!!!!!

We watched Alex's ball game and although they lost, it was one of the best time I've seen them play. Alex played 2nd base for part of the game and he did an amazing catch! Batter hit and he caught it making the guy out! WAY TO GO ALEX! Hey, big things in the world of Mite Rep Ball!!!!

Tonight we're off to a friends house to pick up some furniture. Making changes in the basement. Pictures to follow :)

more vacation time :) Paid it the other day and looking forward to going to the cottage!!! Alex and Tim are off today at Lions Park for a Rep ball Pitching camp. Some "dude" lol is coming in to teach the kids to pitch. Costing the team several hundred bucks, so I hope its worth it. Of course Tim would say yes it is and when I roll my eyes at him, he'd just retort back with a scrapbooking amount spent comment ;)

Had a great service at church today and reconnected with a few friends from there that I haven't seen in months. Ah yep that would be my own fault since I have been to church in about 6 weeks! LOL

We had brunch on our deck, my windows are open and I'm enjoying the day! LOVE the heat right now! I was sick of this up and down crap. Now I may not be saying that by the end of the week either!

Ben and I are just chilling at home, enjoying the afternoon together! Apparently we're playing a game of "Trouble" soon or going out for a swim, maybe both!!!!

So today I found a new great little spot in Waterloo. David's Gourmet. WOW. Um any family members that read my blog that haven't figured out what to buy me for my bday, I'd take a gift certificate from that place! LOL

Not much happening today. Biked, cleaned, enjoyed. Alex is off with his buddy Thomas mini golfing and then back to their church for a bbq. Ben was happy to stay home with both of us and swim and play. We also delivered some of his bday party invites!


Oh yes, The place we went too (the B&B) I had people email and ask about the hot tub! lol Every room had one on their deck. Tim's expression says it all in that pic ;) LOL It was an ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh moment climbing in! lol

Friday!

Its friday!!!!! YAY!!!! Spent the morning at lunch time with the Prentice family! Thank Laurie! We had a blast today! Now we've been chilling out at home for the afternoon. Tim and I are suppose to be golfing tonight with three other couples, but its finally clouding over :( I hope the rain holds off till 9pm!!!!! I'll be back with some pics from later!

Tuesday night Tim got free tickets through work and we drove down to see the Bluejays play!!! We were 19rows off the field, just behind third base! Awesome seats, awesome game!!!! (no pics sorry..lol)

Trip to the zoo

We went down to the Toronto Zoo today :) They have a new exhibit... Dinosaurs Alive! It was very cool. They all moved and made noise! The boys LOVED it! Of course we checked out some of the other animals too :) We're going to head back after our week at the cottage. Aunt Sandra was awesome at xmas and bought us a family membership, so we can go down as much as we'd like!

Made an Ikea stop on the way home too (cheaper lunch there LOL) and now we're starting to pack for the boys trip this week!

time...

is flying by!!!! The kids and I have tomorrow off! Hair cuts for them and then a magic show at the library. Maybe a play date with Tegan and Cade, if time permits!!! The kids are heading to the Pinery with Grandma and Grandpa this week. I know they'll have a fabulous time, but its always hard. I really do miss them. I know though that they'll be having a ton of fun! And they're pumped because Great grandma and grandpa left them 10 bucks each to spend on their holiday!!!

updates

Life is still going in the Metzger household! Busy as ever!!!! Yesterday between me working, the kids at my parents we had the Prentice family over! That was FUN!!!! Our boys hadn't seen each other in about 2 years!!! Thanks Laurie we definitely need to do that again soon! We were suppose to go to there place, however...my van broke down. Smoke was flying out of that engine. I figured oh boy here it comes big bill which means we're ditching it. BUT it was only the oil gas cap and for 100bucks was fixed. Yeah that would 80 for labour LOL and 20bucks for a part ;) Oh well its worth it! We know within the next year or so it needs to be replaced. Its getting old and has enough kms on it, but I didn't want to deal with it this summer!!!

Today we're off with the Willms for a Chapters run and lunch. All four kids have Chapters gift certificates to spend!

Tonight is ball in Waterloo.

WOW

Sorry its been so long since I blogged! Busy, busy!!!! I did end up with a "strained" ankle. I strained all the muscles around the ankle, bruised it and it kills.


We had play dates all day friday and I actually got to scrapbook friday night :) WOW a first in a while! I did an entire mini album about our last trip Collingwood way! Saturday we had company in, which was great and sunday we took off to the closest beach we could find. In this case it was Shads Mill in Cambridge. Very nice! Really enjoyed it! So quiet, peaceful!!!! The kids loved it and made some new friends too!!!

Its been a few interesting days. First I fall and really hurt my ankle. Now its feeling ALOT better, but still I'm not walking right and jogging is a little out of reach right now (and I had started that a few weeks back). Friday was VBS last day. The kids loved it. We went to a friends house afterwards for a play date, were we found out one of the little play mates has spinal bifida and then another one fell and broke his arm :( Rough day.

However that being said, I did have a wonderful breaky at the Crossroads with JoAnne, then a fun time (even with the breaking arm for justin) at the Baumans and a play date at Tegan and Cades house!

Today was mellow. We had some ball before the rain and then Mike and Ellen with their boys over at dinner! Thats always fun :)

Thursday...

What a day! lol The kids are still loving VBS up at woodside. Tonight was family night and I forgot my camera! The kids both rode on a pony (well alex actually went on the horse) and yes I forgot my camera!!!! I know! Bouncy castles, face painting, fishing game, chili supper! lots of fun :)

I'm home early, they're still at the event! I fell today flat on my ass and twisted my ankle. The good news is no swelling or bruising, so I think I'm okay, but DANG it hurts! :(

Tomorrow is my day off, I'm doing breaky with another mom who has kids in vbs and then we're off for a play date at Tegan and Cade's house!

Tim and I will be married for 10 years this september and we're making our plans to go away! Thanks to my wonderful Auntie Marj ;) We're staying here. She got us a wonderful deal there! We're off to Montreal on labour day weekend!!!! Check out the photo tour on the hotel website! Can't wait!

insane weather???

The kids are really enjoying VBS this week. The theme is all country/stampede ranch stuff. On thrusday we're having a cookout ;) Chilli and corn chips apparently! lol

We have wicked weather here the past few days. HOT, HOT humid weather and then thunderstorms, hail and twisters. Not nice. Our new awning/gazebo on the deck, destroyed in yesterdays powerful rain/hail/wind. :( Oh well. What can we do eh? I purchased a temporary one that goes up and down very easy. That way we can take it to our ball tourneys too.

yesterday...

Wow, yesterdays weather was interesting! Sun/heat/rain/hail/twisters!!!! lol

We spent the afternoon at Mike and Ellens and it cleared up enough for for us to swim and eat outside and then RAIN! Now we needed the rain, the hail, not so much. Apparently, the whole time we were watching the hail come down there were tornado warnings up this area. Ignorance is bliss some days.

No photos, forgot my camera, however Ellen did video tape the kids! Funny stuff!!!!

I hope everyone is staying cool today. It's up to 41 with the humidity. For my American friends that read this thats 105.8 in your temp. Thats hot!!!!!!

woohooo... thanks Amanda ;) This is my own "sketch book"!!! We saw a few of these at a goscrapping crop and I fell in love with it!!!!! I thought I was getting this for my bday, but guess my birthday came early!!! LOL Thanks girlie you rock and I LOVE it!!!!!!



So we have Thomas over for a late day playdate! Supper, swimming, and watching some Nascar!! Yes we had bbq'd pizza again! Thanks Tim! Notice bens expression..nice eh ;) hehe

We had a great weekend! I actually didn't take a lot of pictures ( I know everyone is in shock!LOL) I just enjoyed the moments with the camera. I did take a few though!

Today Tim and I golfed and then went to get the boys. Now its clean up and laundry time. Hard to believe another long weekend has gone by. I know the summer is going to fly by.

Happy Canada's Day

Today is July 1st!!!! We've had a fabulous long weekend so far! Tim and I golfed yesterday, took a long bike ride out the rail trail today (about 12km) and tomorrow we will golf again :) The boys are having a blast too at the campground!! We took their bikes and baseball stuff to the park for them. So between swimming, mini golfing, baseball, and biking...they are not bored ;) hehe

Some pictures from our bike ride today! What a fabulous trail! It follows the old railroad line till Westmountrose, then you have to bike the highway for a bit and the trail continues on the other side of the river all the way to Guelph. But we only went to the old bridge area. That was far enough for today! We did ride down to the river, well I decided to walk. LOL It was a little bit steeper then we anticipated ;) But well worth it! That area is GORGEOUS!!!
